Greymouth isite

Mawhera Greymouth isite Visitor Centre

Local highlights: Arrive or depart on the TranzAlpine train. Explore Greymouth’s history and heritage, or take a scenic tour to regional highlights such as Lake Brunner, Punakaiki Rocks or Hokitika Gorge. End the day with a brewery tour and meal.

Local highlights: Quirky historic town centre; Inangahua District has a wealth of mining history with vibrant mountain biking, walking and tramping trails.

Karamea Information and Resource Centre

Local highlights: Oparara Guided Tours, close to the town centre – Four Square, Vinnies Café, Tasman Ag store, Allied Fuel Pump

Kawatiri Westport isite

Local highlights: Buller District extends from the Pancake Rocks & Blowholes at Punakaiki to Karamea and Kahurangi National Park, the gold town of Reefton and Victoria Conservation Park.

Hokitika isite

Local highlights: Hokitika is the gateway to the Hokitika Gorge, home to NZ cycling great ride – West Coast Wilderness Trail, and  famous for pounamu (greenstone).

Local highlights: Punakaiki Pancake Rocks, a great starting point for the Truman Track, Pororari River Track, Punakaiki Cavern and Paparoa Track.

Awarua Haast DOC Visitor Centre

Local highlights: Haast sits on the northwestern edge of the vast UNESCO-designated Te Wahipounamu South West New Zealand World Heritage Area; jet boat into the wilderness or follow the spectacular coastline to Jackson Bay.
